Apathy is generally described as a lack of interest or enthusiasm.

When you are apathetic you tend to lose interest in being around others or doing things you enjoy.

Understand what is causing your apathy is and take responsibility for it. Deal with your personal issues. Make a commitment to yourself that you deserve more out of life than you are currently allowing due to your apathy.

3. Make a plan

Once you are committed to change it’s time to make a plan. What do you need to do to find your motivation again? Do you need to quit your job or leave your relationship? Perhaps you need to adjust your diet. Are you eating enough of the right foods? Try to decrease stimulants like caffeine and sugar. Learn to meditate, start to exercise. All of these simple changes will put you back in the driver’s seat of your life and make a great difference in your feeling of apathy.

Although it’s hard to hear, the reality is no one is coming to save you from yourself. If you want to make a change and step back into your greatness you have to do decide and commit to it every day.
